A Waterwatch training day will be held on Thursday April 4th, 10.30 a.m. at 805 King Parrot Creek Road, Strath Creek. Waterwatch Education co-ordinator David Hodgkins and GBCMA River Health Officer Kirsten Roszak will be attending. Time permitting there will be macro-invertebrate sampling at a site on the creek. Given the popularity of our Platypus Survey activity last month, I expect there will be some interest in learning to monitor the King Parrot Creek and tributaries in our group. Call me on 0412 334 521 if you would like to attend.
Our last post featured photos of the Wedge tail Eagle stalked by Steve Junghenn on the hills in Spring Valley Road. Check out this shot supplied by Trent Patten using a movement activated camera. It is possibly the same individual captured by Steve who lives only 3 km as the eagle flies from Trent and Vikki’s property.
